This morning I decided to take a little break from the Grateful Dead and so I slipped Johnny Winter Live in NYC '97 into the car stereo - for those of you unfamiliar with this Live recording do yourselves a favor and seek it out. This disc is from a 2 night stint at the Bottom Line. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the shows and it was un f*&kin' believable!!!

This disc shows what an accomplished 3 peice band can achive - Johnny, Mark Epstein (Bass) & Tom Compton (Drums) just light it up. So if you are into really raw rockin blues give this disc a listen.

I was standing to the side near the Bar when the "Illustrated Man" himself walked by about two feet away as he entered with his big bodyguards, I gave him big "Yeah Johnny" Shout and could see the huge smile on his face. This is a man that loves his audience and loves to play. So if you don't mind risking blowing up your stereo put this disc on!!! I swear you will not be able to refrain from turning it up REAL LOUD!!!!
